We do not refurb. We rebuild. Every reconditioning includes a full strip down, ultrasonic clean of every component, new journal and thrust bearings, all new seals and snap rings, VNT mechanism overhaul where applicable, and a high-speed dynamic balance on our VSR machine. Pressure tested before it leaves.

How a reconditioning works

Standard turnaround is 3 working days from arrival. Express 24h available for trade.

Strip & ultrasonic

Every component goes through the ultrasonic bath, including the housings.

Inspect & measure

Bearing housing micrometre check, shaft runout, wheel tip clearances. If anything is out of spec we tell you before rebuilding.

Rebuild

New bearings, seals, snap rings. VNT mechanism rebuild if fitted. Compressor and turbine wheel re-shoot.

VSR balance

High-speed dynamic balance to OEM spec. Certified printout on request.

Pressure test & ship

Bench test for sealing and movement. Boxed with fitting instructions and warranty card.

Turbo reconditioning: common questions

How long does reconditioning take?
Standard turn is 3 working days from arrival. Express 24-hour service is +£40 (subject to availability). Same-day collect from Birmingham postcodes free.
Do you balance every turbo?
Yes. Every rebuild gets a high-speed dynamic balance on our VSR machine. We will provide the certified printout on request.
Should I replace the gaskets and oil feed pipe?
Yes, always. New gaskets and a new oil feed banjo bolt with copper washer come in the box. Oil feed pipe should be inspected; replace if blocked or restricted. We supply at trade cost.
What is the warranty exactly?
24 months parts and labour on the reconditioned turbo, provided the fitting follows our instructions (oil change, oil flush, prime, first-start procedure). Damage from oil starvation, contamination, or wrong fitting is not covered.
Can you recondition a turbo I cannot identify?
Yes. Send a photo of the compressor housing data plate plus your reg and we will identify it. Most are Garrett, KKK / BorgWarner, IHI, or Mitsubishi originally.
